I just watched an HBO Documentary called Hot Coffee and it is a must see for anyone who believes in civil justice.  The movie starts by demonstrating how the McDonald’s coffee case was used by Karl Rove and big business to push for “tort reform”.  It then goes on the show how the Chamber of Commerce and big business have systematically attacked the judicial system by limiting jury verdicts with caps on damages, buying judicial elections and finally by eliminating jury verdicts all together by enforcing mandatory arbitration.
