Texting While Driving

The popularity of cell phones has increased exponentially over the past 20 years and, thus, the number of drivers who text has increased.  The increase in “texters” has, in turn, increased the likelihood of the occurrence of a car accident.  In Colorado, it is illegal to send text messages and e-mails while driving.  It is also illegal for drivers under the age of 18 to use a cell phone while driving.   Many individuals are the victim of a texting-related automobile accident.  Lawyers throughout Colorado handle many cases involving distracted drivers, and all too often, the distraction is a cell phone being used for texting.
