Anna Grifa, Legal Assistant
Anna Grifa has been working in the field of personal injury law for over a decade, serving as legal assistant to several firms in the Denver area before landing at The O’Sullivan Law Firm. She says her favorite aspect of this area of law is that she is able to help people who have been wronged through no fault of their own. She likes helping people put their lives back together.
Anna earned a bachelor’s degree in philosophy with a minor in political science from the University of Colorado at Denver. Throughout her career in the legal industry, Anna has assisted on all matters of claims related to bodily injury, UM/UIM, medical payments and property damage claims for automobile, motorcycle, bicycle and pedestrian accidents.
Born in Moscow, Anna is fluent in Russian and enjoys anything related to Zumba, yoga and camping, but most of her free time these days is occupied with her bouncing baby boy.
Sharon Killoran, Legal Assistant
Sharon Killoran has worked in the legal field since 1982. She worked as a legal assistant for Doug Phillips, a well-respected workers’ compensation and social security disability attorney for 25 years. When Mr. Phillips passed away in 2008, Scott O’Sullivan offered Sharon a position at The O’Sullivan Law Firm and she appreciated the opportunity to work with a team of friendly, respected personal injury attorneys.
Sharon brings a wealth of knowledge and skills to the firm’s practice, helping with everything from medical records requests, writing settlement demands and bookkeeping. She finds the personal injury field very rewarding because she enjoys personally helping people through the difficult challenges they’re facing as a result of accidents.
While Sharon is kind and responsive to our clients’ needs, she is persistent and tireless when it comes to fighting for their rights. The O’Sullivan Law Firm is grateful for Sharon’s efforts on behalf of our clients.
Monica Lubin, Legal Assistant
Monica Lubin is a Denver native and a graduate of Metropolitan State University of Denver where she earned a degree in criminal justice/criminology and a minor in political science. Her goal is to become a lawyer and she is currently studying for the LSATs, planning to begin law school in the fall of 2017.
The O’Sullivan Law Firm is lucky to have Monica’s tenacity, perseverance and language skills on our team. She is fluent in Spanish and she was also named a collegiate All American soccer player for her region and for the country. Additionally, Monica was invited to try out for the women’s Olympic soccer team. While obviously flattered, she instead chose to complete her undergraduate degree and to pursue her dream of becoming a lawyer.
Monica brings the same passion and determination to our law practice that she exhibits on the soccer field. Our clients appreciate her empathy as well as her desire to provide efficient, proactive assistance to their inquiries and concerns.
Aric Smith, Intern/Legal Assistant
Aric Smith is a Colorado native, recent graduate from the University of Colorado Denver, and a second degree black belt in karate. He has his sights set on law school but, because he knows the application process is extremely challenging and competitive, he decided to give himself a competitive advantage by working in a law firm for a year first. Scott O’Sullivan was eager to bring Aric onto the team, noting his passion to learn and his work ethic.
Notably, Aric has been practicing karate since he was in ninth grade at William Smith High School in Aurora. He says that the physical and mental discipline he has honed through the years serve him well professionally. As a second degree black belt, Aric has refined his ability to critique his own perception of the world and works hard to better understand how others approach a problem, skills that lawyers utilize every day on behalf of their clients.
In addition to his work for The O’Sullivan Law Firm, Aric is serving as a teaching assistant at Community College of Aurora. He is also working for a hotel chain, using his employee status to stay at member hotels while he travels the country visiting law schools.
The O’Sullivan Law Firm is grateful to have Aric’s curious, tenacious help as we advocate for our motorcycle accident and car accident victims.
