As a motorcycle rider, I need to talk to you about a couple different things that I think you absolutely need in order to enjoy your motorcycle and give yourself the most protection. The first, obviously, is riding gear. Get the best helmet you can afford, preferably a full facemask, and then riding leathers, gloves, and of course, boots.

The next thing is motorcycle insurance. Approximately one third of all automobile drivers out there do not have any car insurance. So, that’s why it’s really important that you get underinsured, or uninsured, motorcycle coverage. It covers you in the event that the person who hits you has no insurance or has very little of it, meaning the state minimum of $25,000. In order to protect yourself, get as much motorcycle insurance as you can afford. With underinsured motorist coverage you get the state minimum at $25,000 all the way up to $250,000 worth of coverage. Your under insured or uninsured motorist coverage covers things like your medical bills, your lost wages, pain and suffering, future care and treatment; all the things that you need to help recover from a motorcycle accident.

If you have any questions about riding gear or what type of insurance to get, feel free to give me a call.
