Careless Driving Leads to Injury at Mississippi Ave and Platte River Dr Intersection

DENVER, CO 11/22/2025. A traffic incident resulting in serious injuries was reported on November 22, 2025, at 9:50 PM in the Ruby Hill neighborhood of Denver, near the intersection of South Platte River Drive and West Mississippi Avenue. The collision involved a pickup truck/utility van making a left turn and an SUV traveling straight, both heading south, approximately 300 feet northwest of the major cross streets. The truck driver’s actions, attributed to inexperience and careless driving, led to a front-to-side impact that seriously injured the SUV driver. No fatalities were reported, and this incident marks the 192nd traffic-related accident in Ruby Hill since November 23, 2024.
