Careless Driving Leads to Serious Injury in University Park Collision

DENVER, CO 9/18/2025. On September 18, 2025, at 8:43 AM, a traffic incident involving two passenger vehicles was reported at the intersection of S Cook St and E Evans Ave, approximately 0.3 miles northwest of the University Park neighborhood. The collision occurred as one vehicle was traveling northbound and the other eastbound. Careless driving and distraction from within the vehicle were noted as contributing factors by the northbound driver. The incident, categorized as a front-to-side impact on the roadway, resulted in one serious injury, but no fatalities were reported. This marks the 115th incident reported in the University Park neighborhood in the past year.
