After months of collecting advance entries for our Triumph Motorcycle Contest at events across Colorado and through social media, we finally have our motorcycle contest winner!
On Saturday, September 23rd, over 100 people braved the rain to gather at Erico Motorsports, on 28th & Walnut Streets, to take part in the final stage of the Triumph Motorcycle Contest sponsored by The O’Sullivan Law Firm to benefit BikerDown.
This year’s motorcycle contest winner was John West. John recently moved to Colorado and had, sadly this summer, totaled his Harley. “The timing for this contest could not have been any better,” said John.

“This contest is all about raising awareness about BikerDown,” said Scott O’Sullivan. “They do so many great things for the all motorcycle riders and we want more riders to know about them and support them. Sponsoring this giveaway is one way to introduce more people to this fantastic non-profit organization.”
BikerDown is a Colorado non-profit that serves the motorcycle community by providing support to injured riders and their families in the event of an accident. The organization helps these riders and their families get through potentially devastating times by providing emotional support, financial assistance, medical equipment, and other services as needed. They also have various membership levels that can include Aflac insurance.
More than just exposure to new riders, BikerDown also received $210 in cash donations at the event. That is money that goes directly into helping injured riders.
Laurie Montoya, Executive Director of BikerDown is grateful for the exposure the O’Sullivan motorcycle contest offers. “I felt like it was really nice for us to venture into another genre of motorcycle riding at Erico and to see there are so many more bikers out there than the Harley world that we, personally, live in. I was really impressed with the positive response we received from the crowd – particularly how open they were to new information like critically reviewing their insurance coverage to be sure they were protecting themselves.” Montoya added, “As a non-profit, we are always operating on a shoestring budget so stretching dollars is what we do best. But we could never manage something like this on our own. This is the second time Scott O’Sullivan has sponsored a motorcycle contest on our behalf and the response has been just amazing.”
Erico Motorsports is owned by John and Tai Beldock.
Said Tai of the event, “The motorcycle community in Denver is lucky to have resources like BikerDown and the O’Sullivan Law Firm. Acting as a team they do an outstanding job supporting those of us that ride on two wheels. Erico Motorsports was excited to be the host of this year’s bike giveaway and look forward to working with Scott and BikerDown in the future.”
Erico Motorsports is a full service dealership that sells new and used Triumph, Ducati, Moto Guzzi, Vespa, and Piaggio brands in addition to their custom bike shop.
