Early Morning SUV Incident Involves Pedestrian in Capitol Hill

DENVER, CO 9/3/2025. A traffic incident involving a pedestrian and an SUV was reported in the early hours of September 3, 2025, at 4:59 AM on the 1300 block of N Pennsylvania Street in the Capitol Hill neighborhood of Denver. The incident occurred less than half a mile northeast of the intersection of East 13th Avenue and Pennsylvania Street. The situation involved an SUV backing on the roadway, resulting in no serious injuries or fatalities. The driver, traveling north, was cited for improper backing, having looked but failed to see the pedestrian. Notably, there have been 431 other reported incidents in Capitol Hill over the past year.
