Pedestrian Struck by SUV in Cory-Merrill; No Serious Injuries Reported

DENVER, CO 8/11/2025. A traffic incident involving a pedestrian and an SUV was reported in the Cory-Merrill neighborhood of Denver on August 11, 2025, at 11:02 AM MT. The incident occurred at 1653 S Colorado Blvd, approximately 0.2 miles east of the intersection of S Colorado Blvd and E Mexico Ave. The SUV, traveling east and making a right turn, reportedly failed to yield the right of way due to distractions. The pedestrian was on the sidewalk against traffic when struck. Fortunately, the incident resulted in no serious injuries or fatalities. There have been 93 reports of similar incidents in the Cory-Merrill area over the past year.
