DENVER, CO 12/31/2025. On December 31, 2025, at 9:52 PM, a significant traffic incident occurred on eastbound I-70 near the I-225 southbound ramp in the Central Park neighborhood of Denver. Approximately half a mile east of the major cross streets of I-70 and I-225, a vehicle traveling east went out of control and struck a barricade. The incident, which is ramp-related and occurred under dark, lighted conditions, resulted in serious injuries to one individual in a passenger car or passenger van. Denver police are investigating the possibility that the driver involved was under the influence. This incident adds to the 1,186 others reported in Central Park since December 31, 2024.
