Possible DUI Incident Involving Careless Driving on W Jewell Ave and S Federal Blvd

DENVER, CO 12/4/2025. On December 4, 2025, at 9:08 PM, a traffic incident was reported at the intersection of W Jewell Ave and S Federal Blvd in Denver’s Harvey Park neighborhood. A pickup truck or utility van traveling west reportedly ran off the right side of the road, striking a sign. The conditions at the scene included icy road surfaces despite visible treatment, and the area was dimly lit. The driver was cited for careless driving and is suspected of potentially driving under the influence, as they appeared either asleep or fatigued. Fortunately, there were no serious injuries or fatalities. This incident adds to the 172 others reported in the neighborhood since December 6, 2024.
