Possible DUI Incident Near S Santa Fe Dr and W Evans Ave in Overland

DENVER, CO 8/3/2025. On August 3, 2025, at approximately 2:13 PM, a traffic incident involving a single SUV was reported in the Overland neighborhood of Denver. The incident occurred on the roadway at the intersection near S Santa Fe Dr and W Evans Ave. The SUV, traveling south, collided with a concrete highway barrier and a light pole before striking a concrete highway barrier again. The driver, reportedly involved in careless driving, contributed to the incident under unspecified conditions. Thankfully, no fatalities or serious injuries were reported, but there is a possibility that driving under the influence may have played a role in this event. This accident adds to the 212 incidents reported in the Overland area since August of last year.
