Possible DUI Involved in Collision at Hampden Ave and Happy Canyon Rd

DENVER, CO 7/5/2025. On July 5, 2025, at 4:10 PM, a traffic incident was reported at the intersection of E Hampden Ave and E Happy Canyon Rd in the Southmoor Park neighborhood of Denver. The collision, which occurred approximately 0.3 miles south of major cross streets, involved two passenger vehicles. One car, traveling west, was making a left turn when it collided front-side with another car traveling east and going straight. Fortunately, there were no serious injuries or fatalities reported. The weather was dark but lighted, and the roadway featured light. While both drivers performed actions contributing to the collision, there is suspicion that driving under the influence may have played a role. This incident adds to the area’s recent history of traffic issues with 111 incidents reported since July 9, 2024.
