DENVER, CO 6/5/2025. A potential DUI incident in Denver’s Montbello neighborhood was reported on June 5, 2025, at 4:14 PM, involving a passenger car that collided with a mailbox and the ground before striking another mailbox. The incident occurred at 5541 N Atchison St, approximately 1 mile north of the intersection of Peoria St and I-70. The road was described as wet and non-intersection, with the accident taking place under dark but lighted conditions. Despite the circumstances, no serious injuries or fatalities were reported. The driver, who was traveling north and driving carelessly, is suspected of being under the influence. This marks the 478th incident in Montbello since June 5, 2024.
