Potential DUI Suspected in Early Morning University Neighborhood Incident

DENVER, CO 8/9/2025. A traffic incident was reported in Denver’s University neighborhood on August 9, 2025, at 12:11 AM, potentially involving driving under the influence. The collision occurred on the 1400 block of E Evans Ave, approximately 0.3 miles east of the intersection at E Evans Ave and S University Blvd. The incident involved a passenger car traveling eastward colliding side-to-side with a parked vehicle on the roadway in a non-intersection area. No serious injuries or fatalities were reported, and officials noted it took place in dark-lighted conditions. This marks one of 165 reported incidents in the area since August 2024.
