Careless Driving Incident on S Santa Fe Dr Leaves One Seriously Injured

DENVER, CO 10/18/2025. A traffic incident reported on October 18, 2025, at 11:23 PM occurred on the 2600 block of S Santa Fe Dr, approximately 0.5 miles south of the intersection with Evans Ave. The accident involved a passenger car traveling north on a non-intersection stretch of dark, unlighted road. The vehicle, going straight, struck a crash cushion/traffic barrel due to careless driving, with distraction cited as a contributing factor by the driver. The crash resulted in one serious injury but no fatalities. This incident adds to the 227 reported since last year in the Overland neighborhood.
