Pedestrian Involved in Traffic Incident on E 53rd Ave in Denver

DENVER, CO 10/17/2024. A traffic incident involving a pedestrian was reported on October 17, 2024, at 2:46 PM Mountain Time in the Elyria Swansea neighborhood of Denver. The incident occurred approximately 0.2 miles east of the intersection of E 53rd Avenue and N Jackson Street, on the roadway in a non-intersection area. According to reports, the incident happened in dark and unlighted conditions, involving a parked passenger car or van heading east. No serious injuries or fatalities were reported, and the driver’s actions were noted as non-contributory. This adds to the 354 incidents recorded in the Elyria Swansea area since October 30, 2023.
