DENVER, CO 8/26/2025. A traffic incident involving an SUV and a pedestrian was reported at 9:31 AM on August 26, 2025, in the 8400 block of Peña Boulevard, about half a mile south of the junction with Tower Road and Green Valley Ranch Boulevard in Denver. The SUV, which was moving south and reversing, struck the pedestrian on the roadway in a non-intersection area. The pedestrian was seriously injured but there were no fatalities reported. The incident occurred near the Denver International Airport (DIA) neighborhood, which has experienced 405 reported incidents since August 28, 2024. Authorities indicate that driver age and ability might have contributed to the accident.
