DENVER, CO 12/16/2025. On December 16, 2025, at 1:27 PM, a traffic incident was reported on E Colfax Ave near N Vine St in the Cheesman Park neighborhood of Denver. The incident, which involved a passenger car and an SUV, occurred approximately half a mile east of the intersection at E Colfax Ave and York St. Although no serious injuries or fatalities were reported, early indications suggest that the incident may have been influenced by Driving under the Influence. The crash took place in a dark but lighted area of the roadway, with the passenger car swerving westward in an attempt at avoidance, leading to a front-to-front collision with the SUV traveling east. This marks the 218th reported incident in the Cheesman Park neighborhood since December of last year.
