Potential DUI Incident Involving Collision with Pole Reported in Hampden

DENVER, CO 1/22/2025. On January 22, 2025, at 6:29 PM MT, authorities received a report of a traffic incident at the 3200 block of South Yosemite Street in the Hampden neighborhood of Denver. The location is approximately 0.5 miles south of the major cross streets Hampden Avenue and Yosemite Street. A passenger car, traveling south and negotiating a curve, collided with a light pole. The incident, which occurred on a dry roadway treated for ice, was reportedly due to careless driving by an emotionally upset driver. Although there were no serious injuries or fatalities, the incident may possibly involve driving under the influence. This marks another addition to the 207 incidents reported in the Hampden area over the past year.
