DENVER, CO 1/5/2026. On January 5, 2026, at 7:49 PM, a traffic incident resulting in serious injury was reported involving an SUV on the 1300 block of North Santa Fe Drive, approximately 0.3 miles north of the major cross streets East 13th Avenue and North Santa Fe Drive in the Lincoln Park neighborhood of Denver. The SUV, traveling north and negotiating a curve, collided with a curb and then struck a tree, leading to one serious injury. The incident occurred in a non-intersection area on a center median/island, under dark-lighted conditions. The driver of the SUV was cited for careless driving, with no apparent human contributing factors. There have been 655 other reported incidents in the Lincoln Park neighborhood since January 5, 2025.
