Careless Driving Leads to Serious Injury on I-70 East Ramp

DENVER, CO 8/6/2025. On August 6, 2025, at approximately 6:25 PM, a traffic incident involving an SUV occurred on the I-70 Eastbound ramp near North Brighton Blvd in the Elyria Swansea neighborhood of Denver. The vehicle, traveling east and reportedly changing lanes, struck a concrete highway barrier and resulted in one serious injury. The incident took place approximately 0.5 miles northeast of the nearest major intersection. Emergency services were alerted to the scene following a report of careless driving under dark, but well-lit conditions. This incident marks the 370th traffic report in the Elyria Swansea area in the past year. Fortunately, no fatalities were reported.
