Careless Driving Incident on University Blvd, DUI Investigation Underway

DENVER, CO 8/17/2025. A traffic incident was reported on August 17, 2025, at 7:21 PM on University Blvd near East Mexico Ave in Denver, approximately half a mile east of I-25. A passenger car traveling west, possibly driven under the influence, veered off its path while negotiating a curve, striking the curb on a wet, dark-lit non-intersection roadway. While no serious injuries or fatalities were reported, authorities are investigating the potential involvement of driving under the influence as contributing to the carelessness attributed to driver inexperience.
