Possible DUI Suspected in Sunnyside Traffic Collision

DENVER, CO 10/9/2025. On October 9, 2025, at approximately 10:35 PM MT, a traffic incident involving an SUV and a parked pickup truck/utility van was reported at the intersection of W 39th Ave and N Quivas St, Sunnyside, Denver. The SUV, traveling east and reportedly driving carelessly with a possible distraction from inside the vehicle, collided front to front and front to rear with the parked vehicle. The incident occurred half a mile west of the intersection of W 38th Ave and Tejon St, on the roadway in a dark but well-lit area, and showcases no serious injuries or fatalities. This marks the 209th incident in the Sunnyside neighborhood since October 9, 2024, and might involve the use of alcohol or drugs.
