DENVER, CO 5/27/2025. On May 27, 2025, at approximately 11:50 AM, a traffic incident involving an SUV and a passenger car resulted in one serious injury near the 400 block of South Monaco Street in Denver’s Washington Virginia Vale neighborhood. The collision occurred about half a mile south of the intersection with Leetsdale Drive and involved a southbound SUV, which was reportedly going straight, colliding with a passenger car stopped in traffic. According to investigators, the SUV driver was cited for careless driving, allegedly due to manipulating an electronic device just before the crash. Despite the serious nature of the accident, no fatalities were reported. This incident adds to the 268 other traffic incidents reported in Washington Virginia Vale over the past year.
