Early Morning Incident in Chaffee Park Possibly Involves DUI

DENVER, CO 11/8/2024. On November 8, 2024, at 4:01 AM, a traffic incident was reported on the 1800 block of W Dixie Pl in the Chaffee Park neighborhood of Denver. Approximately 0.5 miles southwest of the intersection of W 48th Ave and Federal Blvd, the incident involved a passenger car driving westbound that ran off the left side of the road and collided with a parked SUV. The incident occurred in a non-intersection area with wet road conditions and under dark-lighted circumstances. While no serious injuries or fatalities were reported, there are indications that driving under the influence may have been a factor. This marks the 71st incident reported in Chaffee Park over the past year.
