DENVER, CO 5/28/2025. A traffic incident resulting in injuries was reported in the Highland neighborhood of Denver at 3:39 PM on May 28, 2025. The incident occurred approximately at the intersection of Central Street and 16th Street, where a pedestrian was struck by a passenger car making a left turn northeast. The roadway conditions were reported as wet, and the area was dark but well-lit. The driver was cited for careless driving, with distraction cited as a contributing factor. Despite the incident, there were no serious injuries or fatalities. To date, there have been 316 other reported incidents in the Highland neighborhood since May 29, 2024.
