Possible DUI Collision Reported on I-25 in Denver

DENVER, CO 12/25/2024. A traffic incident potentially involving Driving under the Influence was reported on December 25, 2024, at 1:14 PM MT on southbound I-25 near South University Boulevard in Denver, approximately 0.5 miles southwest of the nearest major cross streets. The incident involved a front-to-rear collision which resulted in a vehicle striking a barricade before colliding again with another vehicle, both traveling south. The wet and dark-lighted road conditions at a non-intersection location may have contributed to the crash. No serious injuries or fatalities were reported. The driver of the first vehicle was noted for careless and aggressive driving, while the second driver’s actions showed no apparent contributing factor. This marks the 150th incident in the University neighborhood since December 31, 2023.
