Possible DUI Incident After SUV Hits Curb and Sign in Belcaro Neighborhood

DENVER, CO 2/8/2025. A potential DUI incident was reported on February 8, 2025, at 9:38 PM, involving an SUV that struck a curb and a sign at the intersection of S Colorado Blvd and E Alameda Ave in Denver’s Belcaro neighborhood. The SUV, traveling north, was reportedly involved in careless driving while the road was wet and darkened yet lighted. The driver, described as emotionally upset, escaped with no serious injuries. The incident occurred approximately 0.2 miles southwest of the main cross streets, and there have been 119 incidents in the area since February 11, 2024.
