Possible DUI Incident Involving Curb and Pole Strikes Reported in Hale

DENVER, CO 2/23/2025. On February 23, 2025, at 9:26 PM MT, a traffic incident was reported on the 1400 block of North Colorado Boulevard in the Hale neighborhood of Denver. Approximately three blocks northeast of the intersection with East Colfax Avenue and Colorado Boulevard, a passenger car traveling north ran off the right side of the road, striking a curb before colliding with a light pole or utility pole twice. Although the driver is suspected of careless and aggressive driving, no serious injuries or fatalities were reported. Authorities indicate the incident might involve driving under the influence, contributing to a total of 158 incidents in the Hale neighborhood since February 27, 2024.
