DENVER, CO 12/26/2025. On December 26, 2025, at 8:27 PM, a traffic incident was reported at the intersection of North Speer Boulevard and West Colfax Avenue, approximately 0.1 miles northwest of the nearest major cross streets. The incident involved a pickup truck or utility van improperly backing northward, colliding front to rear with a southbound SUV stopped in traffic. A serious injury was sustained by an occupant of the pickup truck/utility van. The area was dark but lighted at the time of the accident. There are indications that the incident might involve driving under the influence, although no fatalities were reported. This contributes to a concerning trend of 657 traffic-related incidents in the Lincoln Park neighborhood since December 27, 2024.
