Possible DUI Incident on I-225 in Central Park Results in Collision with Highway Barrier

DENVER, CO 10/2/2025. A traffic incident possibly involving driving under the influence was reported on October 2, 2025, at 9:41 PM near the intersection of I-225 Southbound and I-70 Eastbound in Denver’s Central Park neighborhood. The collision occurred approximately three miles southwest of the intersection. An SUV, traveling north, struck a concrete highway barrier during dark yet lighted conditions. Although there were no serious injuries or fatalities, the contributing factors suggest careless driving. This adds to the 1,148 other incidents reported in Central Park over the past year.
