Possible DUI Incident Reported at 38th St and N Brighton Blvd in Five Points

DENVER, CO 8/22/2025. On August 22, 2025, at approximately 6:46 PM Mountain time, a traffic incident was reported at the intersection of 38th St and N Brighton Blvd in Denver’s Five Points neighborhood. The incident, which may possibly involve driving under the influence, resulted in a passenger car that was making a right turn colliding with a light pole. Fortunately, no serious injuries or fatalities have been reported. The occurrence took place about 0.1 miles south of these major cross streets during dark-lighted conditions, suggesting the possibility of reduced visibility contributing to the event. While no apparent contributing factors were noted on the part of the driver, the incident underscores continued traffic concerns in an area that has seen 669 such reports since the previous year.
