Possible DUI Incident Reported on I-70 Near I-225 in Denver

DENVER, CO 2/8/2025. On February 8, 2025, at 5:54 PM, a traffic incident was reported on I-70 Eastbound near the I-225 Southbound interchange in Denver’s Central Park neighborhood. The collision involved a passenger car and an SUV, both traveling east. The incident, occurring approximately 0.5 miles southwest of the nearest major cross streets, was described as a ‘Front to Side’ crash with a concrete highway barrier. The driver of the passenger car was reported to have been driving carelessly with aggressive driving as a human contribution factor. While there were no serious injuries or fatalities, initial reports suggest the possibility of driving under the influence. This is part of a larger trend, with over a thousand incidents reported in the neighborhood over the past year.
