DENVER, CO 4/18/2025. On April 18, 2025, at 7:10 PM, a traffic incident was reported on northbound I-25 near East Hampden Avenue in the Hampden South neighborhood of Denver. The incident took place approximately one mile north of the intersection. Initial reports suggest that the driver lost control of a passenger car, causing it to veer off the right side into a concrete highway barrier on a wet, ramp-related section of the road. Conditions were dark but the area was lighted. While no serious injuries or fatalities occurred, the driver’s careless actions, potentially involving driving under the influence, are under investigation. Distracted driving was also noted as a contributing factor in this incident, which adds to a significant total of 394 reported incidents in the area over the past year.
