Possible DUI Leads to Serious Injury in Sun Valley Traffic Incident

DENVER, CO 7/14/2025. A traffic incident reported at 9:21 PM on July 14, 2025, in the Sun Valley neighborhood of Denver has resulted in one serious injury. The event took place on W 6th Avenue approximately 0.2 miles west of the intersection with N Federal Blvd. The incident involved a passenger car reportedly changing lanes while traveling west, striking a fixed object. The conditions were dark but lit, and the driver’s action was noted as careless driving. Although no fatalities were reported, authorities are investigating the possibility of Driving under the Influence contributing to the crash. This marks the 127th such incident in Sun Valley since July 16, 2024.
