Serious Injury in Southbound I-25 Collision Near S Emerson St

DENVER, CO 11/26/2025. On November 26, 2025, at 11:14 AM, a traffic incident resulting in serious injuries occurred on southbound I-25 near S Emerson St in the Platt Park neighborhood of Denver. The collision, which took place approximately a quarter of a mile south of the major intersection of I-25 and S Emerson St, involved two passenger vehicles. One vehicle, described as a passenger car or van, was traveling south when it collided with another similar vehicle stopped in traffic. The collision was characterized as ‘Front to Rear’ and happened under dark but lit conditions on a ramp-related roadway. The driver of the moving vehicle was reportedly driving carelessly, resulting in one serious injury, though no fatalities occurred. This incident adds to the 127 traffic reports recorded in the Platt Park area since December 2024.
