DENVER, CO 12/21/2024. On December 21, 2024, at approximately 1:58 PM Mountain Time, a serious injury was reported following a head-on collision on S Holly St near the intersection with Leetsdale Dr in the Washington Virginia Vale neighborhood of Denver. The accident involved two passenger vehicles, one traveling east while making a left turn and the other traveling west in a straight path. The Denver Police Department classified the accident as ‘careless driving’ by the eastbound vehicle, with the incident occurring on a roadway, not at an intersection, under dark-lighted conditions. The accident resulted in one serious injury and marks another incident in an area that has seen 287 reported traffic incidents over the last year, yet without any fatalities in this incident.
