Serious Injury Reported on I-25 in Dark Conditions Near Alameda Avenue

DENVER, CO 9/18/2025. A serious traffic incident involving a working vehicle and a parked medium/heavy truck occurred at approximately 10:02 PM on September 18, 2025, on I-25 southbound near Alameda Avenue in the Baker neighborhood of Denver. The accident happened about half a mile south of the major cross streets and resulted in one serious injury. The incident took place in non-intersection conditions with poor lighting, as the road was dark and unlighted. The driver of the working vehicle was cited for careless driving, having failed to see the parked truck, which led to a front-to-rear collision. No fatalities were reported.
