SUV Crashes into Curb and Pole in Denver; DUI Suspected

DENVER, CO 10/11/2025. On October 11, 2025, at 9:06 AM, a traffic incident involving a single SUV was reported at the intersection of East 1st Avenue and North High Street in the Country Club neighborhood of Denver, about 0.2 miles east of the intersection with North Downing Street. The SUV, headed west, went out of control, striking a curb and subsequently hitting a utility pole. No serious injuries or fatalities were reported, but the incident is under investigation for possible driving under the influence. This location has witnessed 69 similar incidents over the past year.
