DENVER, CO 11/12/2024. A traffic incident reported at 12:42 PM on November 12, 2024, resulted in one serious injury at the intersection of North Lipan Street and West 40th Avenue, Sunnyside neighborhood, Denver. A passenger car, traveling south but in the wrong direction, disregarded a stop sign and collided front-to-front, and subsequently front-to-rear, with a southbound pickup truck that was backing. The driver of the passenger car was reportedly asleep or fatigued. The incident brings the number of traffic incidents in Sunnyside over the past year to 191. Fortunately, no fatalities occurred in this crash.
