DENVER, CO 11/9/2024. A traffic collision was reported on November 9, 2024, at 11:37 PM on E Hampden Ave near the I-25 Northbound Highway in the Hampden South neighborhood of Denver. The incident occurred approximately 0.25 miles north of the major cross streets of E Hampden Ave and I-25. Involving two passenger vehicles, the crash took place at an intersection with icy road conditions and dark but lit lighting. One vehicle, which was traveling north and following too closely, collided with another that had stopped in traffic. A total of one individual sustained serious injuries, and authorities are investigating the possibility of driving under the influence playing a role in the accident. There have been 410 other reported incidents in Hampden South over the past year.
