Careless Driving Causes Two Serious Injuries in Denver’s Hampden Neighborhood

DENVER, CO 9/21/2025. On September 21, 2025, at 5:35 PM, an incident was reported involving a westbound passenger car and van along E Hampden Ave, approximately 350 feet east of the intersection with S Akron St in the Hampden neighborhood. The accident occurred in dark but lighted conditions, with both vehicles moving straight on the roadway. The driver of the passenger car was cited for careless driving, contributing to the rear-end collision that resulted in serious injuries to two individuals. This incident adds to the 246 traffic incidents reported in the Hampden neighborhood within the past year. Fortunately, there were no fatalities recorded in this accident.
