Early Morning Motorcycle Crash Reported Near S Platte River Dr in Denver

DENVER, CO 7/9/2025. On July 9, 2025, at 1:09 AM Mountain time, authorities received reports of a traffic incident involving a motorcycle in the Overland neighborhood of Denver. The incident occurred on the 1100 block of S Platte River Dr, approximately 0.3 miles southeast of the intersection with W Mississippi Ave. A motorcycle traveling south collided with a passenger car/van that was also heading south in a front-to-rear impact. The motorcyclist, following too closely, caused the non-intersection crash, but fortunately, no serious injuries or fatalities were reported. With this incident, the Overland neighborhood has seen 197 reported traffic incidents since July 10, 2024.
