Pedestrian Struck by SUV at Dark Intersection in Elyria Swansea

DENVER, CO 2/1/2025. On February 1, 2025, at 8:44 AM, a traffic incident involving a pedestrian and an SUV occurred at the intersection of E 44th Ave and N Josephine St in the Elyria Swansea neighborhood, Denver. The pedestrian was reportedly traveling on the sidewalk against traffic when struck by the SUV, which was entering the traffic way headed east. The incident took place on a poorly lit, unlighted roadway but fortunately resulted in no serious injuries or fatalities. This marks one of the 343 reported incidents in the neighborhood since February 2, 2024.
