Possible DUI Collision Involving Pickup and SUV in Athmar Park Neighborhood

On September 23, 2024, at 8:13 PM, a traffic collision was reported on the 700 block of South Eliot Street in the Athmar Park neighborhood of Denver. The incident occurred approximately 0.5 miles west of South Federal Boulevard and West Alameda Avenue, and involved a pickup truck traveling north which collided front-to-front with a parked SUV on a dark, unlighted roadway. Initial reports suggest a possible Driving under the Influence situation. Investigations indicate a lane violation as the contributing driver factor for the pickup truck. Fortunately, the incident resulted in no serious injuries or fatalities.
