Possible DUI Incident Causes Collision with Light Pole on I-270 in Central Park

DENVER, CO 11/20/2025. On November 20, 2025, at 9:56 PM, a traffic incident was reported on I-270 westbound, about 0.5 miles southwest of the N Central Park Blvd exit, in the Central Park neighborhood of Denver. The vehicle involved reportedly ran off the right side of the road, striking a light pole. Initial reports suggest the road was wet and dark-lighted conditions were noted. The driver was engaging in careless driving as they attempted to merge onto the highway. While no serious injuries or fatalities were reported, the circumstances suggest a possible Driving under the Influence situation. This incident adds to the 1,168 reported incidents in the Central Park neighborhood over the past year.
