Possible DUI Incident Involving Parked Vehicles in Hampden

DENVER, CO 4/6/2025. A traffic incident was reported on April 6, 2025, at 7:39 PM in the Hampden neighborhood of Denver, potentially involving driving under the influence. The incident occurred 0.3 miles southeast of the intersection of South Dayton Way and East Yale Avenue. A passenger car, traveling south and reportedly swerving in an attempt to avoid an obstacle, collided with a parked utility van. The road was dark but lighted at the time of the incident. Authorities noted careless driving on the part of the passenger car driver, although no serious injuries or fatalities were reported. The area has seen 206 other incidents since April 6, 2024.
