Possible DUI Incident Involving Pickup Truck on W Jewell Ave

DENVER, CO 12/4/2025. On December 4, 2025, at 9:08 PM, a traffic incident possibly involving driving under the influence was reported at the intersection of W Jewell Ave and S Federal Blvd, 0.5 miles west of the major cross streets. The incident occurred when a pickup truck, traveling west on W Jewell Ave, lost control and ran off the right side of the road, striking a sign in a non-intersection area. The road conditions were icy, despite being treated for ice, and the area was dark but lighted. Initial investigations indicate the driver may have been careless, possibly asleep or fatigued. No serious injuries or fatalities were reported. This marks the 190th traffic incident reported in the Harvey Park neighborhood since December 6, 2024.
