Possible DUI Incident Leads to Collision at 8th and Mariposa

DENVER, CO 2/7/2025. On February 7, 2025, at 2:07 PM Mountain Time, a traffic incident involving a side-to-side collision was reported at the intersection of West 8th Avenue and North Mariposa Street in Denver’s Lincoln Park neighborhood. The crash, which occurred roughly 0.2 miles south of the intersection of 8th Avenue and Santa Fe Drive, involved two passenger vehicles traveling in opposite directions. One vehicle, moving eastward, was changing lanes, while the westbound vehicle was going straight. Though no serious injuries or fatalities were reported, the incident may involve driving under the influence. This case adds to the 553 traffic incidents recorded in the Lincoln Park area over the past year.
